SSYC Facilities
Located on the water on Coast Highway in the heart of Mariner's Mile, the club's facilities include a large clubhouse, office, committee and storage outbuildings, a launch area with 4,000 lb. capacity hoist, slips for approximately 30 boats, dry storage for a number of small boats, and rack storage for Lasers, Sabots and other dinghies.
SSYC's contemporary two-story clubhouse overlooks the main channel of Newport Harbor. The lower level includes a full galley and large outdoor patio with barbecues and tables. The upper level lounge, bar and patio offer a perfect view for watching club races, the Christmas Parade of Lights, and every other major event in the harbor.
Combined with these modern facilities is a 30-year tradition of friendship and informality unique to SSYC. Together, they make today's South Shore Yacht Club a perfect "home port" for all manner of boaters, their families and friends.
